A Cat Named Christmas

Hi Everyone,  Please share this with your animal loving contacts

In the wake of Buddy’s story,a rescue gone wrong,I would like to share the story of a cat named Christmas,a rescue done right. Gimli Humane Society is responsible for saving the life of a special little kitty they call Christmas. Christmas was in horrible shape, missing part of her rear right leg and part of her tail. After seeing a Veterinarian a decision was made to complete the amputation of the leg and the tail. I have included the videos of her rescue (part 1),and of her recovery (part 2). This rescue means a lot to myself and Lee-Anne as it was the Gimli Humane Society that came forward and offered to take Buddy for us when the W.H.S. stated that they were going to euthanize him. Sadly Buddy was not given this opportunity by the W.H.S. Lee-Anne and I have made a small donation to the Gimli Humane Society to help pay for the high cost of rescuing Christmas, and we will be donating a hamper of goodies for the other animals in their care. We felt it was the least we could do because they tried to help us save Buddy. Please have a look at the videos and visit the Gimli Humane Society website. This rescue is definitely worth sharing,it has a very happy ending. If you are in a position to donate a few dollars to help in the cost of Christmas’rescue you can donate through their website. http://www.gimlihumanesociety.org/  I will keep you all informed on our progress with the W.H.S. regarding positive changes for 2012. Thank you Gimli Humane Society for caring so much, and giving Christmas a second chance.
